It depends on the background. On a dark background, the opacity is that of a plain chiffon; on a light background, more light passes through. Add an under-Hijab that matches the background rather than your skin.
Wash cold, by hand or on a delicate cycle, without fabric softener, and dry flat in the shade. Direct sunlight, not washing, is what fades a print.
At a very low temperature and inside out, or not at all: hung in a humid bathroom, the chiffon relaxes on its own.
The rectangular style covers the shoulders and drapes; the square ties short and leaves the neck exposed. For a first printed Hijab, the rectangular style is more forgiving.
